EA Sports FC 27 Gets First Trailer, Reveals Open World and Release Date

Electronic Arts has released the first official trailer for the football simulator EA Sports FC 27. The main innovation of the new installment is the expansive Grounds mode, a social hub featuring an open world.
Open World and Social Activities in Grounds
The Grounds mode aims to change the familiar structure of how players interact with the game. Instead of the standard navigation through menu tabs, virtual footballers will be able to move freely around an open location between matches.
Grounds will feature:
- Various mini-games and training challenges;
- Areas for socializing and interacting with other players;
- Character customization and showcasing rewards.
This approach has previously proven successful in other sports simulators, but it is the first time the EA Sports FC series has integrated a fully open space.
Release Dates and Early Access
The publisher also confirmed the game’s release schedule:
- September 17 — early access launch for buyers of the Ultimate Edition.
- September 25 — full release for owners of the standard edition on all target platforms.
The developers have promised to reveal detailed information about gameplay changes, the physics engine update, and the Ultimate Team and Career modes in a series of upcoming presentations.
