EA Sports FC 27 Gets First Trailer, Open World and Release Date Announced

Electronic Arts has released the first official trailer for the football simulator EA Sports FC 27. The main innovation of the new installment is a large-scale mode called Grounds, which serves as a social hub with an open world.

Open World and Social Activities in Grounds

The Grounds mode is designed to change the way players interact with the game. Instead of navigating through menu tabs, virtual footballers will be able to move freely around an open location between matches.

Grounds will feature:

Various mini-games and training challenges;
Areas for chatting and interacting with other players;
Character customization and showcasing rewards.

This approach has proven successful in other sports simulators, but it’s the first time the EA Sports FC series has integrated a full open space.

Release Dates and Early Access

The publisher also confirmed the game’s release schedule:

September 17 — early access launch for buyers of the Ultimate Edition.
September 25 — full release for owners of the standard edition on all target platforms.

The developers have promised to reveal detailed information about gameplay changes, the physics engine update, and the Ultimate Team and Career modes in a series of upcoming presentations.
