Former Rune Eaters Dota 2 roster stays together and searches for a new organization

The former Dota 2 roster of esports organization Rune Eaters has decided not to split up during the fall transfer window and is looking for a new club as a full squad. The team has brought back its original tag Pipsqueak+4 and is ready to compete in the updated competitive season. Team manager Damon Lotus Cheng announced the start of open negotiations.
Short-term contract and success at EWC 2026
The players’ cooperation under the Rune Eaters tag was project-based from the start and ran until the end of European Pro League (EPL) Masters I. After the August matches, the obligations were fulfilled, and the players became free agents, continuing to practice together.
As Cybersport.ru reports, the core of the roster proved itself back in mid-summer:
- In June, the team beat Natus Vincere in the final of the closed Western European qualifier for Esports World Cup 2026;
- At the championship itself in Saudi Arabia, the five placed in the top 8 (5th–8th place) and earned $70,000 in prize money;
- The team then took bronze at EPL Masters I.
Current Pipsqueak+4 roster
Compared with the June registration, the team has made only one change: Denis rincyq Bogushev took over the carry position from Mikhail Darklord^ Blinov.
The current Pipsqueak+4 lineup is as follows:
- Denis rincyq Bogushev (carry);
- Philipp Copy Bühler (mid);
- Abdimalik Malik Sailau (offlane);
- Marcel Ekki Holovenko (soft support);
- Alim aik Bespayev (hard support);
- Damon Lotus Cheng (manager).
The five have already played a series of matches at EPL Masters II in the updated lineup. The team went undefeated through the group stage, beating Zero Tenacity, PuckChamp and Klim Sani4, but lost to GamerLegion and Synapse in the playoffs, finishing in 7th–8th place.
Amid the global reshuffle after The International, a ready, well-practiced roster with experience beating top teams is of practical interest to esports organizations that want to enter the competitive season without the risk of building a mix from scratch.
