Team Yandex Wins PGL Wallachia Season 9 With 3-0 Final Sweep and $300,000 Prize

Team Yandex is the champion of PGL Wallachia Season 9 in Dota 2, sweeping NAVI 3-0 in the grand final. The tournament winner in Bucharest takes home $300,000 from a total prize pool of $1 million.

The final series was one-sided on the scoreboard, but on the second map NAVI came close to evening things up. Team Yandex’s comeback from a large deficit was the key moment of the final.

NAVI Lets a 10,000-Gold Lead Slip Away

Team Yandex closed out the first map in just 25 minutes with a 27-9 kill score. Alimzhan “watson” Islambekov on Sven finished the game with a 10/1/4 record, while Ammar “ATF” Assaf on Razor went 6/1/11.

The second map was far more difficult. By the 20th minute NAVI had built a lead of more than 10,000 gold, but Team Yandex gradually cut into the deficit and seized the initiative.

The map ended in under 44 minutes. Among the main architects of the comeback were watson on Io with a 12/4/13 record and ATF on Centaur Warrunner at 10/1/20.

After that, Team Yandex never let its opponent back into the series. The third map ended in roughly 27 minutes with a 25-7 score. Watson on Sven posted 8/1/2, CHIRA_JUNIOR on Invoker went 7/1/10, and ATF closed out the deciding game on Huskar without dying – 5/0/3.

Team Yandex Drops Only Two Maps All Tournament

The title capped a nearly flawless run for the team at PGL Wallachia Season 9.

Team Yandex went 3-0 in series through the Swiss stage and kept dominating in the playoffs. Over the entire tournament, the team lost only two individual maps – to MOUZ in the group stage and to Aurora in the upper-bracket semifinal.

After losing the first map against Aurora, Team Yandex did not drop another game to any opponent. The team closed out the Aurora series with a 2-1 win, then swept LGD Gaming and repeated the result in the grand final.

The tournament was ATF’s first with Team Yandex after he joined the roster. His debut ended in a championship.

For Team Yandex, this is already the team’s second PGL Wallachia title in 2026 – it previously won Season 7. NAVI received $175,000 for second place.
