Motorola Unveils Moto G Max With 7,000 mAh Battery and 120Hz Display

Motorola has launched the mid-range Moto G Max smartphone, featuring extended battery life as its main highlight. According to Notebookcheck, the device features a 7,000 mAh battery, a PWM-free 120Hz IPS display, and a Sony LYT-600 camera sensor.

The smartphone sports a 6.72-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels, peak brightness of 1,050 nits, and zero backlight flicker. Powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, it comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The body is IP64 dust- and water-resistant, and the fingerprint scanner is built into the side power button.

The device’s main camera setup includes a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor (f/1.8) alongside an 8MP ultrawide module, while the front camera resolution is 32MP. The 7,000 mAh battery delivers over two days of battery life and supports 30W wired charging via USB-C.

The phone features a 3.5mm headphone jack and a dual SIM slot, but lacks NFC. Motorola promises two major Android OS updates and three years of security patches.

The Moto G Max is available for around $290 in three signature colors: Pantone Stargazer (dark blue), Pantone Malaga (pink), and Pantone Alaskan Blue (light blue). The company will announce international release dates at a later time.
