Rockstar Opens Preorders for a $400 GTA VI Collector’s Set — Without the Game Itself

Rockstar Games has unveiled the official collector’s edition of Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection. The massive 11-item merch set will cost fans $399.99, but its main distinguishing feature is something else: a copy of the game itself is not included. The approach is gradually becoming standard for major releases — Rockstar previously put out a similar empty box for Red Dead Redemption 2 so collectors could buy the game separately in whatever digital or physical format they preferred.
According to VGC, preorders will begin shipping on November 19, 2026. The entire set is styled around Macca the Gator, a fictional in-game TV show that players will be able to watch on television screens inside GTA VI itself.
The first official map of Leonida
The most valuable item for the gaming community is a double-sided souvenir poster. The front shows characters from the show about Macca the alligator, while the back features a full, detailed map of the state of Leonida. Until now, Rockstar had only shown scattered regions in trailers, which is why fans spent years trying to piece the map together bit by bit, analyzing leaks and video frames. The physical poster will be the first official confirmation of the true scale and geography of the game world.
What’s inside The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection
Besides the map poster, the official Rockstar Store lists 10 more items included in the box:
- a Macca the alligator figure about 15 centimeters tall with a hidden compartment in the base;
- Oakley Frogskins sunglasses with matte black frames, Prizm Sapphire lenses and a pink game logo;
- a New Era 9FORTY cap with Vice City branding;
- a Leonida Keys crossbody bag;
- a mirror with a magnetic mount;
- a Chunkee manatee tumbler;
- a decorative bar spoon;
- a metal keychain shaped like a razor blade;
- a set of nine enamel pins in a metal case;
- nine vinyl stickers in a separate pouch.
Orders are already open on the Rockstar Newswire blog and will run while supplies last. The company also warns buyers that standard free shipping does not apply to this heavy premium set, so the final total for many regions will end up noticeably higher than the advertised four hundred dollars.
