Buick Launches 378-HP Electra L7 EV Sedan With 800V Architecture and 702 km Range

Buick has officially launched sales of its all-electric Electra L7 sedan. The five-meter executive car features a 378 hp powertrain, a CATL traction battery offering up to 702 km of range, and an 800V power architecture that adds 450 km of range in 10 minutes of charging.
The model is the first fully electric sedan in the L7 lineup and targets the high-tech premium EV segment.
800V Platform and CATL Battery
The new EV is built on an architecture with an 800V operating voltage and support for 6C ultra-fast charging. The 80.6 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery features an active thermal management system that keeps cell heating within a safe limit of up to 55 °C. The vehicle supports bi-directional V2L power output of up to 6 kW to power external devices.
The rear axle houses an electric motor outputting 282 kW (378 hp) and 382 Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 5.6 seconds, while top speed is limited to 220 km/h.

Dimensions and Qualcomm-Powered Infotainment
According to CarNewsChina, the body length reaches 5,032 mm, width is 1,952 mm, and the wheelbase spans 3,000 mm. The exterior features frameless door glass, semi-flush handles, and aerodynamic wheels up to 20 inches in diameter.
Inside, the cabin houses a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, and a 50-inch AR-HUD augmented reality display. The infotainment system runs on a Qualcomm SA8775P processor delivering 72 TOPS of NPU performance.
