Fast and Furious 11 director Louis Leterrier admits he hasn’t read Fast Forever yet

The director of the final part of the franchise “Fast and Furious” Louis Leterier has not yet got acquainted with the full script of the film Fast Forever (“Furious 11”). In an interview Collider The director explained that he is busy working on another film and will begin a detailed analysis of the text only after its completion.
Leterrier is now focused on filming and producing the chamber sci-fi horror 1212 for Universal Studios. The director noted that he cannot effectively immerse himself in two large-scale projects at the same time, so he will begin to study the script of Michael Lessley (the author of “Illusion of Deception 3”) at the editing stage of his current film. At the same time, Leterje already knows the key plot twists of the final, and Vin Diesel previously called the plot of the new picture “astounding”.
Cancellation of the spin-off with the Rock and the return of star caste
At the same time, Universal Studio has adjusted production plans. The originally announced offshoot of Fast and Furious: Hobbs & Reyes, where Dwayne Johnson was supposed to confront Jason Momoa’s character, has officially been put on pause due to budget cuts. The entire storyline and conflict between Hobbs and Dante Reis was rewritten and integrated directly into the plot of Furious 11.
Despite the unfinished work on the text, contracts with key actors are already being signed. Gal Gadot (Giselle Jachard) and Jason Statham (Deckard Shaw) are guaranteed to return to Fast Forever, and negotiations are underway to return Eva Mendes to the role of Monica Fuentes.
The world premiere of Fast Forever is set for March 17, 2028.
