In Helldivers 2, a large-scale update 7.0 Devoid of Liberty was released, which launched an official collaboration with the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The game added a themed combat pass, the enemy faction of the Illuminati, allied AI bots, and the project itself added to the PlayStation Plus subscription catalog.

Details of Castellan’s Creed combat pass

The central part of the crossover with Games Workshop was the warbond “Castellan’s Creed” worth 1,500 Supercredits. The set is inspired by the Kadian Kasrkins of Astra Militarum. It included:

Armour: TG-8 Sharpshooter (medium) and TG-122 Demo-Trooper (heavy) sets with perk, increasing the controllability of guns by 20 units and accelerating the reloading of heavy support weapons by 30%;
Weapons and stratagems: Laser rifle Hot-Shot Marksman Rifle, bolt gun P/40-K and stratagem with a Meltagun gun;
Camouflage: dark green color Castellan’s Green for APCs and exosuits.

The Return of the Illuminati and Allied Bots

Along with the renewal, a third faction entered the galactic war, the Illuminati (Enlightened), attacking from the Void biome. The first units of the new race were the attack evading Wretch and armored Juggernaut Crusher with rapid regeneration.

To compensate for the increased complexity in the game introduced platoons SEAF – controlled by artificial intelligence fighters-allies. They parachute on the battlefield, help to shoot off enemies, treat players with stimulants and can respond to welcoming emotions.
