EA to Reveal First EA Sports FC 27 Gameplay on September 15: Defending Changes, Dribbling, and Early Access Date

Electronic Arts has announced the first official livestream featuring live gameplay of football sim EA Sports FC 27. The broadcast will air on September 15 across YouTube and Twitch — just three days before servers go live for early access players.

Stream Details and Ibrahimović Rumors

Fan communities quickly generated unconfirmed rumors around the stream announcement, with reports circulating that Zlatan Ibrahimović would host the event and play in an exhibition match. EA’s official announcements make no mention of the Swedish striker: while the publisher promised exclusive gameplay footage, the lineup of hosts and guests remains under wraps.

As noted by Athlon Sports, the developers will share the exact broadcast schedule and start times closer to the weekend.

The presentation will center on core mechanical overhauls. According to the feature breakdown on the EA Sports FC website, the developers rebalanced key areas of the pitch for the new installment:

  • Manual Tackling: AI assistance for defenders has been reduced, and automatic slide tackles are completely gone — defensive success now hinges on player timing and positioning;
  • Off-Balance Dribbling: Technical wingers and strikers maintain better ball control through shoulder-to-shoulder contact while staying composed enough to take a shot;
  • Tactical Flexibility: Upgraded teammate AI actively seeks out open passing lanes and executes overlapping runs.

Release Dates and Early Access

EA Sports FC 27 launches globally on September 25, 2026, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

According to EA Sports’ release schedule, players who pre-order the Ultimate Edition can jump in a week early on September 18. On that same day, EA Play subscribers can access a standard 10-hour trial that carries all earned progress directly into the full release build.
