Monitor Makers AOC and KTC Warn of Price Hikes Due to Rising Component Costs

Display manufacturers have begun adjusting their pricing as component costs continue to rise. AOC raised monitor prices in China, while major contract manufacturer KTC issued an official warning about upcoming price hikes for its products.
According to VideoCardz, AOC’s price adjustments affect both office displays and its dedicated AGON gaming lineup. The company attributes the decision to higher costs for microchips, printed circuit boards, power controllers, and backlight modules.
Meanwhile, KTC management stated that rising raw material costs mean it can no longer maintain retail prices at current levels. The manufacturer advises buyers not to delay planned purchases, as existing stock will soon be replaced by higher-priced shipments.
Impact on the Market and OEM Partners
In addition to growing its own brand, KTC is a major contract OEM/ODM electronics manufacturer. According to KTC’s official website, the company builds display hardware for brands like Samsung, ViewSonic, and NEC.
While manufacturers have not made official price-hike announcements for the European and US markets yet, rising costs for key components at Asian factories point to broader pressure on the consumer monitor market.
