Xiaomi has started selling its flagship Mijia Washing Machine Pro Super Electrolysis Fresh Air series. These full-size washers handle loads up to 12kg and tackle a common household issue: built-in fresh air ventilation continuously circulates air through the drum, preventing washed clothes from developing a musty smell.

Fresh Air ventilation and 93% pet hair removal

The machines feature a larger 525mm drum and a quiet inverter direct-drive motor. The key innovation is the Fresh Air active air exchange system, which automatically activates after the final spin cycle.

According to Chinese outlet ITHome, the system performs up to 14 full air changes inside the tub per hour. The fan eliminates moisture buildup and prevents stale odors, even if laundry sits in the machine overnight.

For antibacterial treatment, the washer combines hot steam with the Super Electrolysis module, which ionizes water to break down microorganism cell walls, achieving lab-grade disinfection of up to 99.999%.

Pet owners get a dedicated wash cycle with targeted water jets and increased water intake. The algorithm removes up to 93% of cat and dog hair from fabric, trapping it in an easy-to-clean filter.

Dryer variant, auto-dispensing, and pricing

The lineup includes two models with intelligent detergent and fabric softener dispensing from built-in cartridges:

  • Base 12kg washer: supports 32 programs (from pet hair and silk to plush toys). Its official price in China is 4399 yuan (about $656);
  • Washer-dryer combo (12kg wash / 9kg dry): features 35 built-in algorithms and gentle drying with residual moisture control to prevent shrinkage. It costs 4999 yuan (approximately $745).

The appliances connect to the Xiaomi HyperOS ecosystem and support remote start via smartphone. According to the JD.com catalog, the series is already available at retail in China, with the manufacturer set to announce plans for a global version tailored to European standards later.
