Xiaomi launches Mijia Water Purifier 2 Boiling Edition with instant boiling water

Xiaomi has started selling the Mijia Water Purifier 2 Boiling Edition under-sink water filter. The device combines a 12-stage reverse osmosis system with a heating module, letting you pour boiling water at 100°C directly from the included faucet at up to two liters per minute.
The gadget comes with a separate touch faucet that lets you choose the water temperature. According to Chinese sources, the system delivers filtered warm water at up to 5.4 L/min and boiling water at 2 L/min. Inside the housing is an insulated tank that holds up to 1.5 liters of boiling water or up to 4.5 liters of warm water. All internal components that come into contact with water are made of food-grade 304 stainless steel.
Filtration and price
According to the manufacturer, the filtration system traps up to 145 types of contaminants, removing 100% of E. coli, 99.9% of lead, and 99.8% of cadmium.
The Mijia Water Purifier 2 Boiling Edition has a recommended price of 2,999 yuan (about $415), but during the initial sales period in China, it’s available for a special price of 2,699 yuan (about $375).
