Xiaomi Unveils Mijia Blender 3 with 13-Layer Noise Reduction, IPX9 Protection, and $54 Price Tag

Xiaomi has expanded its lineup of smart kitchen appliances with the Mijia Blender 3, a countertop blender with a built-in heating function. Key upgrades include a multi-layered 13-element noise reduction system that brings operating volume down to 45 dB(A) and a quick-release blade assembly rated for high-pressure water jet resistance. The device goes on sale in China on September 8 for 389 yuan (around $54).
35,000 RPM and Whispering Quiet Operation
Under the hood, a motor spins the blades at up to 35,000 RPM, driving a two-tier assembly of eight stainless steel blades. According to ITHome, this setup can blend tough ingredients down to particles around 100 micrometers in size. Blend consistency is up 21% over the previous generation, and when using water preheated to 90°C, a serving of soy milk takes just 18 minutes to prepare.
High power usually makes countertop blenders extremely loud, with typical units outputting anywhere from 70 to 85 dB. The Mijia Blender 3 addresses this with a 13-component vibration- and acoustic-dampening system. The baseline noise level drops to around 45 dB(A) and reaches only 51 dB(A) during intensive boiling and blending—roughly equivalent to a quiet conversation.
IPX9-Rated Detachable Blade and Disinfection
To save owners from scrubbing the bottom of a deep jar by hand, the blade base is fully detachable. It uses a gravity self-locking mechanism that unlatches without tools or screwdrivers. The blade assembly itself is IPX9 water-resistant, making it safe to rinse directly under high-pressure tap water.
The heating plate at the bottom of the jar features a ceramic non-stick coating. The blender offers three self-cleaning modes:
- Quick automatic rinse;
- High-temperature wash;
- Hot-air drying, which the manufacturer claims eliminates up to 99.99% of bacteria.
The glass jar holds 1.5 liters for cold drinks and smoothies, with capacity limited to 1 liter for hot soups and beverages. Controls are centered around a round display offering eight presets, a delayed-start timer up to 12 hours, and a 12-hour keep-warm function at 55°C.
As noted by ProstoMob, the appliance is currently launching only in China; details regarding a global release with European plugs will be announced later.
