At its fall event, Apple officially introduced the AirPods 5, the next generation of its base open-ear wireless earbuds. 1. There are no cameras in the AirPods 5. As Yahoo Finance previously reported, Apple is indeed experimenting with optical sensors for spatial machine vision (Visual Intelligence), but dedicated camera-equipped earbuds are delayed until at least 2027.
2. Heart rate monitoring remains exclusive to the Pro line. Heart rate sensors and advanced fitness telemetry remain a feature of the higher-end in-ear models.
