Fan-Made Cyberpunk 2077 Multiplayer Mod CyberMP Shows Gameplay with Support for Up to 66 Players

The developers of the CyberMP mod have released a demonstration of a full network mode for Cyberpunk 2077. The project is in semi-open beta testing, supports servers with up to 66 players, and allows creating custom worlds in the style of GTA RP or playing through the game in co-op.
CyberMP has drawn increased attention from fans after CD Projekt Red officially canceled development of its own online mode for Night City. In a stress test, the authors managed to record a peak of 66 simultaneous connections on one server. However, the developers admit that at maximum load the tick rate drops, so the comfortable limit for stable lag-free gameplay is currently between 30 and 40 users.

Mechanics and Sandevistan Adaptation
The modding team has managed to set up seamless synchronization of pedestrians, city traffic, collision physics, and bullet travel during PvP encounters.
Specifically for online play, the mechanics of the popular Sandevistan implant have been reworked. Since classic time dilation cannot be applied in multiplayer, in CyberMP the implant grants the owner a high boost to movement and attack speed while the surrounding world continues to move in real time.

How to Get into the Playtest
An exact release date for CyberMP has not been announced yet. The mod is not available for one-click download on Nexus Mods: to get access to test servers and the current build, users need to join the project’s official Discord channel and apply through the bot.
