Google Pixel 11 Pro XL Flagship Survives Bend Test and Surprises With Easy Repairability

The flagship Google Pixel 11 Pro XL smartphone underwent durability testing on the popular YouTube channel JerryRigEverything. Host Zack Nelson was unable to bend the device by hand under maximum pressure, and after teardown, he called the model one of the easiest flagship phones to repair this year.

The candybar design demonstrated high reliability compared to the foldable models in the lineup.

Chassis Rigidity and Bend Test

During the bend test, the smartphone’s massive 6.8-inch body showed minimal elastic flex and returned to its original state without any damage to the protective glass or display matrix.

The result contrasts sharply with tests of the foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold, which cracked near the antenna lines during a similar test. The frame of the device is made of anodized aluminum, while the front and rear panels are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 with IP68 water resistance certification.

Glass Scratch Test

According to Notebookcheck, the manufacturer’s claimed 2x increase in damage resistance yielded a standard result for the mobile market. When tested with mineral picks, initial scratches appeared at a level 6 on the Mohs hardness scale, with deeper grooves showing up at a level 7.

The factory coating is designed to resist daily wear and tear and small sand particles, but remains susceptible to hard metal objects.

Modular Layout and Color-Coded Screws

As reported by Android Authority, the device can be opened from both the screen side and the back cover using a standard suction cup and a pry pick.

For the convenience of technicians, Google engineers color-coded the key mounting screws on the internal shielding plates in bright mint green. The display assembly and battery can be removed in minutes without fully dismantling the motherboard and peripherals.
