Unitree Unveils Superman Humanoid Robot: 2-Meter Jump and Speeds Up to 45.6 km/h

Chinese company Unitree Robotics has unveiled a new humanoid robot named Superman. According to the manufacturer, the anthropomorphic machine can perform a standing high jump of 2 meters and reach a top running speed of 45.6 km/h (12.66 m/s).
With a leg length of 0.85 meters, the robot’s claimed figures surpass human peak speed: according to the Olympic Committee, sprinter Usain Bolt reached a maximum instantaneous speed of 44.72 km/h while setting his 100-meter world record. Superman’s jump height also exceeds the historical human standing high jump record of 1.90 meters recorded in the Guinness World Records.
Development Pace and World Humanoid Robot Games
According to ITHome, the Superman prototype was designed and built in just three months. For comparison, an upgraded version of the previous Unitree H1 model reached a speed of 36 km/h in April. The company states that the current version of the robot is a test sample and engineers will continue to refine it.
The showcase took place ahead of the World Humanoid Robot Games 2026, which will be held in Beijing from August 22 to 26, featuring over 2,000 humanoid robots from 16 countries. However, the manufacturer has not yet confirmed official participation of the Superman model in competitive events.
