Xiaomi Launches SkyNomad Hybrid Crossovers: Up to 1,705 km Range, Nvidia Tech, and Pricing From $31,300

Xiaomi has launched an all-new vehicle line in China under the SkyNomad brand. Unlike the SU7 electric sedan and YU7 crossover, the N70 and N90 series models are the brand’s first range-extender electric vehicles (EREVs): the wheels are driven exclusively by electric motors, while a 1.5-liter turbocharged gas engine serves as an onboard generator to recharge the battery. Pricing starts at 209,900 yuan (about $31,300).

Kunlun Architecture and Three Trim Levels

The vehicles are built on the dedicated Kunlun platform, designed to accommodate heavy battery packs and allow a flexible interior layout. The lineup includes three variants:

• N70 Pro: a five-seater crossover featuring a 210 kW front electric motor and a 52 kWh battery pack. It delivers an electric-only range of 351 km and a total CLTC range of 1,351 km with a full tank. Retail pricing is around $31,300.
• N70 Max: an all-wheel-drive dual-motor version with a combined output of 310 kW and a 76 kWh battery. It accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds, offers an EV range of 505 km, and has a total range of 1,461 km. Official pricing is set at $35,700.
• N90 Max: a flagship seven-seater SUV measuring 5.28 meters in length with an output of 310 kW. Zero-to-100 km/h acceleration takes 5.9 seconds. According to tech portal ITHome, combining the 76 kWh battery with a 60-liter gas tank delivers a total CLTC range of up to 1,705 km. The flagship model is priced at about $40,200.

Reconfigurable Cabin and Nvidia Drive Thor Autonomous Driving

The designers placed special emphasis on interior comfort. In the N90 Max, the seats use a 2+2+3 layout: the front seats can swivel 180 degrees toward the rear passengers, while a sliding center console on rails transforms into a dining table. The cabin can be optioned with four zero-gravity massage seats, a retractable 21.4-inch display, and a 9-liter refrigerator.

The entire lineup comes equipped with the Xiaomi HAD smart driving system. As tech publication CnEVPost notes, processing is handled by an Nvidia Drive Thor automotive chip delivering 700 TOPS, paired with a roof-mounted LiDAR unit. The N90 Max model adds a second solid-state LiDAR at the rear.

For now, SkyNomad crossovers are sold exclusively in China. According to Reuters, Xiaomi plans to officially start European sales in 2027, though exact export specifications and global pricing will be announced later.
