Google unveils basic Pixel 11 with Tensor G6 chip, Qi2.2 magnetic charging and 256GB version for $899

At the presentation of Made by Google, the official announcement of the Pixel 11 smartphone took place. The base model got rid of the configuration of 128 GB, got a Tensor G6 chipset, fast magnetic charging with a capacity of 25 W and a display with a peak brightness of 3000 nits.
The company decided to abandon the drive for 128 GB, making the standard configuration of 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory. Because of this, the minimum entry threshold has increased by $ 100: the base price of the Pixel 11 is $ 899 (exactly the same as the Pixel 10 cost 256 GB last year).
Screen, iron and autonomy
The smartphone retained the Actua 6.3-inch display, but its peak brightness increased from 2700 to 3000 nits. For performance, the Tensor G6 processor with a 7-core CPU architecture and PowerVR C-series graphics accelerator is responsible. The battery capacity was slightly adjusted to 4985 mAh, and the declared battery life reaches 30 hours.
The main technical upgrade of the power system was support for the Qi2.2 wireless charging standard and the Pixelsnap magnetic ring (analogue to Apple MagSafe). The power of wireless charging increased from 15 to 25 watts. The system also has a software mode Extreme Charging: if the battery is discharged below 50%, the smartphone temporarily limits the background processes for the fastest possible set of power.
Camera Updates and AI Functions
The camera’s physical sensors haven’t changed, but the processing algorithms have been overhauled thanks to the Tensor G6 chip:
- Camera Looks: new color correction profiles that change the structure of light processing;
- Instant Night Sight: Accelerated night mode, triggered almost instantly;
- Sign-to-Text: Sign language recognition through the camera lens and its translation into text on the screen.
Pixel 11 gets 7 years of Android system updates and security patches. Pre-orders in the U.S. are already open, and the first deliveries to customers will begin on August 20, 2026.
