Xiaomi Launches Smart Band 11 With Sub-10mm Body, 2000-Nit Display, and $43 Starting Price

Xiaomi has started official sales of the Smart Band 11 fitness tracker in China. The new generation of the popular wearable keeps the familiar 1.72-inch AMOLED display but is noticeably thinner: the body thickness drops below 10mm for the first time, and peak brightness is up by a third to 2000 nits. At launch, the base version is priced at 289 yuan (about $43).
Slimmer Body, HRV Tracking, and HyperOS 4
The update focuses on ergonomics and comfort when using the device in direct sunlight. According to IT Home, the tracker’s thickness has been reduced from 10.95mm to 9.99mm, and the weight without the strap is now 15.58 grams. The display features symmetrical 2mm bezels around the perimeter.
The hardware improvements also extend to health monitoring sensors. The band now has an upgraded optical sensor for heart rate and blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), as well as support for heart rate variability (HRV) analysis during nighttime rest. The algorithms assess the quality of nervous system recovery and provide personalized tips, though the developers remind users that this data is not a medical diagnosis.
The device runs HyperOS 4 with fast synchronization with Xiaomi smart home components. Other specs remain consistent with the previous generation: over 150 sports modes, 5ATM water resistance, and up to 21 days of battery life, as seen in the Smart Band 10.
NFC Variants, Ceramic Options, and Pricing
The lineup is available in several finishes at the Xiaomi Store:
- Base version: 289 yuan at launch discount (about $43), regular price 299 yuan;
- NFC version: 339 yuan at launch (approximately $51), regular price 349 yuan;
- Special editions: models with an all-metal or white ceramic bezel cost 399 yuan (about $59).
The Smart Band 11 remains a textbook evolutionary update: Xiaomi didn’t experiment with the form factor, instead focusing on display brightness, reduced dimensions, and improved sleep sensors. The company hasn’t announced a global release date for the international version yet.
